A coffee table is a versatile piece of furniture placed in the living room. It serves as a surface for placing beverages, snacks, books, decor, and other items. It also adds aesthetic value to the room.
Consider the size of your seating area and the available space around it. Ideally, your coffee table should be about two-thirds the length of your sofa, and its height should be similar to your sofa's seat height for easy reach.
Clean and maintain a coffee table by dusting it weekly with a microfiber cloth, wipe up spills right away, and use coasters to avoid water rings. Stick to gentle cleaners, and if it’s wooden, give it an occasional polish with furniture oil or beeswax to bring back its shine and protect the surface.
Most coffee tables sit around 40-45 cm high, which works well with the height of a typical sofa. Ideally, your table should be about the same height as the seat cushions or just a little lower so it’s comfortable to reach and looks nicely balanced in the room.
