Georgina Schwensen (SA)

freedom Interior Decorator

A bit about me:
I joined the freedom family in 2010 and began my journey as a sales consultant. I’m very passionate about creating beautiful homes for customers and with my love of homewares and styling I’ve enjoyed representing the freedom Glynde store as the Interior Decorator.

What's the highlight of being a freedom Interior Decorator?

The highlight for me, is the opportunity to work with and be involved in creating beautiful homes for our customers, whether it be first home buyers, renovators, builders, or couples downsizing to smaller homes. These are exciting times for our customers and it’s an honour to be part of their journey and make their experience of creating beautiful spaces a fun and exciting process.

What is your latest freedom “Must Have” product & why?

What I consider as a “must have” product would be one of the many choices of rugs Freedom offers. This is a very important piece that completes a lounge room. Working with an Interior Decorator offers you an extended range of exclusive designer rugs hand crafted by artisans using the highest quality materials.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

My inspirational cues comes from constantly watching trends and the emerging interiors from design books and social media.

No. 1 Styling Tip for the season?
My tip would be to choose interiors that truly represent yourself and to consider the feeling your trying to create for your home. Keeping the bones of the home simple allows you to change the interiors to reflect your life changes.

A bit about me:

I started with freedom Frankston when they opened their door in November 2013 as a part-time sales assistant.

It was during my time in sales that I realised my passion for decorating & design and luckily those around me noticed the same thing and I became the in-store decorator a year later.

What's the highlight of being a freedom Interior Decorator?

The freedom Customer. Each so unique and different but all with the common interest of loving our awesome furniture.

I love watching the delight of a client when together we make a vision a reality.

What is your latest freedom “Must Have” product & why?

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

My inspiration is endless. Be it clothes, fabrics, music, art, history and nature. Life inspires me.

No. 1 Styling Tip for the season?

Not just for this season but always- layer your textures. Layering will give your room depth and soul. 90% of my clients will say they want their home to feel ‘warm and welcoming’ and layering will definitely create this.

Sandra Sparti (QLD)

freedom interior decorator Sandra

A bit about me:

My career at freedom started in 2015, at the brand new Aspley store as a Furniture Sales consultant part time, whilst I ran my own Interior Design business. I was appointed as a full time decorator at the beginning of 2018.

What's the highlight of being a freedom Interior Decorator?

Seeing the variety of amazing homes owned by our customers and meeting the people who own them.

What is your latest freedom “Must Have” product & why?

I am more than a little in love with all the beautiful velvets we currently have in the upholstery ranges at freedom. Every home can benefit from a little bit of luxe or “quirk” that a velvet chair can bring to it. Not that brave? Try a velvet cushion instead and enjoy the texture and lustre it brings.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

When not at work I am obsessed with Australian an overseas publications, Instagram, HGTV in America (amazing renovation and design TV) and beautiful hardbound Interior Design books from designers around the world – I have a huge collection.

No. 1 Styling Tip for the season?

Be brave with colour! Even the most neutral of homes can benefit from the injection of a little bit of colour whether from a piece of art, cushion, rug, florals, vessels or fabric. It’s an easy update that isn’t permanent and can instantly change the look, feel and mood of a room.
