Cushions and throws are the easiest way to give a room an instant makeover, whether it’s a seasonal change, a tweak to your colour palette or to dress up a new piece of furniture. There’s nothing quite like the perfect sofa cushion to prop you up when you’re unwinding after a long day at work. They’re not just functional, they’re the ideal way to add warmth, comfort and visual interest to your living room. If your design style is minimalist or based on simple, earthy tones, you can add a lot of colour through your cushion choice like the modern Surry cushion. Mix and match different sizes on your sofa using a gradient of colours from the same family for a chic finish. Find colours scattered throughout the other elements in your living room, like a warm oak from the table, a light grey from the curtains or a sea foam green from your rug. Use these colours when choosing your cushions so that the overall, finished effect feels harmonious. Don’t forget cushions are great on the floor too.
