After purchasing your new furniture from Freedom it is recommended that you invest in a few essential items from our extensive Care Products range. This will assist you to maintain the appearance of your furniture. Our Care Products can also aid in the repair of existing furniture.

Safety note: With all Furniture Care Products it is essential to carefully read and follow all instructions and safety warnings directed on the packaging. All care products contain a variety of chemicals, some of which can be harmful or toxic if directions of use are not followed. Keep out of reach of children at all times.

Maintenance and Preparation


  • Bison Wax - Provides resistance to marks such as fingerprints and water marks and is available in a variety of colour options to suit most timber surfaces. The wax nourishes and polishes the timber and prevents the timber from drying out.
  • Beeswax Paste - Suitable for soft and hardwoods, this wax feeds and nourishes the wood whilst finishing the surface as well.
  • Spray Wax - Ideal for the removal of dust particles on waxed or varnished furniture, whilst continuing to nourish and moisturise the timber.
  • Ring Remover - Suitable on most types of varnishes and hard surfaces; assists in the removal of most difficult water stains, white heat marks and fine scratches that appear on surfaces.
  • Tack Cloths - Lifts and retains dust and other similar particles from all surfaces and is ideal for use on all timbers and other like surfaces.

Repair and Restoration


  • Touch Up Pens / 3 Colour Tone - Covers and helps to disguise minor blemishes and scratches on wooden surfaces. The 3 tone colour feature enables the user to blend different colour tones (Oak, Mahogany and Pine) to ensure a better colour match.
  • Retouch Crayons - Best used for filing and covering exterior scratches on finished wooden surfaces; available in a variety of colour options.
  • Steel Wool - Used for cleaning and preparing timber and metal surfaces for all restoration activities i.e. Re-polishing, waxing or painting.
  • Wax Filler Sticks - Repairs any cracks and/or splits that may occur in some wooden furniture.

Leather


  • Like anything of value your leather furniture will benefit from some attention and care. You can prolong its beauty and character with regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • Freedom has a range of leather care products suited for each different type of leather we sell: Bicast leather, Pigmented or Aniline leather and Pull-up leather. It is recommended you use care products on your leather every 4-8 weeks.
  • In addition to these care kits, you can purchase an extended warranty program that will guarantee your leather for 5 years. Please see instore for details.

Fabric


  • To better protect your Freedom sofa from stains and spillage you can have Freedom's Soil Shield™ treatment applied to your sofa before delivery*. This treatment applies a protective coating to the sofa that can help prevent the absorption of liquids and makes cleaning easier.
  • In addition to this, Freedom has a range of fabric care products to help you maintain your fabric sofa and increase the effectiveness of Soil Shield™. There are both kits and individual bottles available for cleaning, deodorising and protecting your fabric. Please ask in store for more information on Soil Shield™ and fabric care products.
