Entertainers will know how important gorgeous and practical serving-ware is and how it can transform a casual get together into a sophisticated occasion.

Platters are incredibly useful as they can perform a number of different roles. Stack a large platter with a variety of cheeses, cold meats and preserves for a laidback lunch or pile a wide one high with pasta for easy serving at a family dinner. Platters also make beautiful centrepieces for dining and coffee tables. Load in brightly coloured fruit for grabbing and to add an organic feel to the room.

Trays are another great item to have tucked away in the pantry. Use them with a beautiful tea towel on the surface to serve drinks and coffee or eat dinner off them in front of a movie for a cosy night in.

Condiments should also be given the royal treatment and condiment sets do just that – the perfect dimensions in matching materials take tomato sauce and mayonnaise from sauce to sophistication in a cinch.
